Ritual of Grief and Eros

Join us for this opportunity to transform how you hold what’s most important to you. This ritual invites you to embody and voice grief, pain, disappointment, love, and eros so there is more spaciousness, compassion, and clarity to take the next action. We are inspired by Sobonfu Some’s grief rituals of the Dagara Tribe in Burkina Faso. Sobonfu reminds us, “Making the world a sustainable place is deeply connected to our ability to grieve together, because this is what creates sustainability for the human soul.” We draw on the wisdom of this culture to experience the village and a deep sense of belonging even in our discomfort.

This ritual is not just about emotional expression, it is about being a village that loves unconditionally and honors our past and future ancestors. Come allow what is yearning to move through you to open you more deeply to the fullness of your life.

Kaitlin June will be co-facilitating the rituals at Earthdance in Massachusetts and in Oakland, CA with Zahava. Sasha Lasdon will be co-facilitating the ritual in Madison, WI with Zahava.
